Do I need to buy new cameras?
No. Awera is built to work with the CCTV you already have — Hikvision, Dahua, CP Plus, Axis, Reolink, and effectively any RTSP or ONVIF camera on a standard NVR or DVR. Nothing to rip out, no rewiring.
Does my footage get uploaded to the cloud?
Not your footage. A small Awera box sits next to your recorder and does the first check on site; your recorder keeps the continuous footage. When the box spots a moment that needs a proper look, it sends that clip only, encrypted, with faces blurred if you have chosen that, to the Awera server, which does the analysis and sends the alert. It never streams your footage, so it doesn't eat your bandwidth.
How do the alerts reach me?
The moment something is flagged, you get a plain-English alert on WhatsApp or as a call, with the clip attached — so the right person can act instead of scrubbing footage later. You choose who gets which alerts.
Won't it constantly false-alarm?
It's designed to stay quiet when everything's normal and only speak up when something crosses a rule you care about. No vision system is perfect, so on critical events a person still makes the final call — and the rules are tuned to your site to keep the noise low.
Does this replace my security guards?
No — it makes them far more effective. Think of it as a tireless second set of eyes that surfaces what matters, so your people spend the shift acting on real events instead of staring at a wall of screens.
What can Awera flag?
It's built to flag the moments that matter on a site — someone at the boundary or gate, tailgating, loitering, a door or loading bay open at the wrong time, crowding, a vehicle where it shouldn't be, and more. You can also add your own checks in plain English, tested on your own footage first.
